New undergraduate and graduate students participate in New International Student Orientation upon arrival to campus. New International Student Orientation assists with acclimation to life at Buffalo State, discusses resources available on campus, and allows you to meet other students who are new to Buffalo State and the United States.
For Fall 2025, the Residence Halls opens to new international students who will be living on campus on Monday, August, 18 2025 at 08:00 a.m. You will not be permitted to stay on campus prior to Monday, August, 18 2025.

Airport Pick-Up Service
Each semester, Buffalo State offers a complimentary shuttle at a single designated time picking up at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport and dropping off at Buffalo State's campus.
Shuttle Pick-Up:
Our complimentary shuttle for the Spring 2026 semester is scheduled for Wednesday, January 21, 2026 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This shuttle will pick students up at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport and transport students directly to Buffalo State's campus. If you would like to use this service, please confirm with Tricia Herritt prior to arrival by emailing herrittl@buffalostate.edu.
If you are arriving at a different time please take a taxi from the baggage claim area of the airport. The cost of transportation is typically $35-40.
