- Enrollment & Health
- How do I show enrollment verification?
- For incoming students who have not started classes, please contact the international admissions office via email for proof of enrollment. intladmissions@buffalostate.edu
- What immunizations are required to attend?
- Please visit the Weigel Health Center for all vaccine requirements and appropriate health forms. Remember, all new students must be compliant with New York State law regarding vaccinations to register for classes.
- Housing & Meal Plan
- Am I required to live on campus?
- All international students are required to reside on campus until junior status (60 credits) or until the student is 21 years old, whichever comes first. Please visit Residence Life's Housing Application Steps for further information.
- What do I need to bring?
- Residence Life has provided a comprehensive “What to Bring to Buffalo State” new student list. Please review the list for helpful recommendations and prohibited items for our Residence Halls. Please keep in mind, all bedding must be a Twin XL to fit the mattress. To help keep track of your items, utilize our International Student Packing List.
- Buffalo boasts numerous accessible retail stores available to students. Students can shop locally for groceries, clothing, kitchen equipment, bedding material, and much more!
- Book rentals for courses can be done through Buffalo State’s Barnes and Noble Bookstore, Amazon, or other third-party rental sites. A comprehensive list of available books can be viewed on Buffalo State’s Barnes and Noble Bookstore, with updated offerings occurring each semester.
- What if I have specific meal preferences?
- Students who have specific meal concerns based on their cultural background or dietary needs will need to contact Chartwells Dining Services for deciding the most appropriate meal plan option. International students living on campus are required to enroll in a Buffalo State meal plan if they have not reached junior status (60 credits).

- How can I view my tuition bill?
- What are acceptable forms of payment?
- Digital – Payments can be made online using Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or e-check.
- Physical – Payments can be made in-person or via mail using Visa, MasterCard, Discover, money order, check, or cash. For in-person, visit our payment counter located in the upper lobby of Moot Hall. For mail-in, please address postage as the following:
