Housing at Buffalo State
We are excited that you are considering Buffalo State as your home away from home! Living on campus in Buffalo State's residence halls helps international students adjust to life in the US through programming and activities with American Students. We encourage all of our international students to live in on-campus residence halls for all years attending. There are a lot of housing options here at Buffalo State that will make your US collegiate experience complete.
Buffalo State provides a variety of housing options from which international students may choose. Some halls house first-year students exclusively, some house a mixture of students, and some are reserved for upper-division students. There is also specialty housing for specific groups and interests, including the Global Village LLC located in Bishop Hall. International students are able to request any residence hall on campus!
All Incoming international freshman and sophomore students are REQUIRED to reside in on-campus housing and have a meal plan. The requirement for on-campus housing can be lifted and allow international students to live off-campus ONLY once 60 credits hours or 30 classes are completed. Detailed information about housing options and meal plans is available through the Office of Residence Life at (716) 878-3000 or at residencelife.buffalostate.edu.
